What We Do

The Land Heritage Coalition of Glastonbury focuses on local land use issues, seeking ways to foster support for farming, the acquisition of open space and the protection of our natural systems, advocating for the sustainable stewardship of forests, wetlands, flood plains, surface and ground water sources.

Our organization offers free, informative and timely presentations focusing on local ecology, natural history, farming, conservation and stewardship. We actively engage the community with an annual series of family friendly walks and hikes, highlighting our town’s open space parcels and other points of interest in the Glastonbury area.

In facilitating our mission, we encourage open dialogue with individual residents, landowners, Town leadership and other statewide organizations with a shared interest in sustainability and environmental stewardship. Join us in our continuing efforts to ensure the conservation of these critical natural communities which provide for our quality of life in Glastonbury.
